This blog post, How to Incorporate Probiotics into a Healthy Diet, has been compensated by Indian River Select. All opinions are my own.

I try to eat a healthy diet 80% of the time and exercise at least five days a week. I’m always on the lookout for ways to boost a healthy lifestyle.

healthy eating - probiotics are good for you

Thankfully, I’ve found two new juice blends that are delicious and help me in this area. I can’t decide if I like the Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice or the Orange Juice the best. They are both equally tasty.

How to Incorporate Probiotics into a Healthy Diet

Have you ever heard of Probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria that’s good for your health, especially your digestive system. Some people think that all bacteria is bad but our bodies are full of bacteria, both good and bad. Probiotics are good bacteria because they keep your gut healthy. They are also believed to offer protection from harmful bacteria.

How to Incorporate Probiotics as part of a healthy diet

There’s strong evidence that probiotics are helpful for:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Certain Intestinal Infections
  • Preventing or reducing severity of colds and flu

Research also shows that they help in other parts of your body including skin conditions like eczema.

Once I decided to add probiotics to my healthy eating plan, I found Indian River Select Brand Prohealthy Blend Orange Juice and Indian River Select Brand Prohealthy Blend Grapefruit Juice at my local Harris Teeter. I found these juices in the refrigerated juice section. They are currently available in one-liter bottles.

Probiotics are healthy and here is the best way to get yours.

I enjoy a serving of Indian River Brand Prohealthy Blend for breakfast or as a midafternoon snack. It’s such a delicious way to get my daily probiotics.

I had no idea that probiotics help with colds! I’ve tried to incorporate yogurts with probiotics but it’s hard when you don’t want yogurt everyday. These Indian River drinks sound like a great alternative!

Yum! These both look delicious! And I love that they have probiotics in them as I find that I almost always forget to take them when in pill form!

We give Probiotics to our elderly dog so I’m not sure why we aren’t taking them. Clearly we know they help with digestive issues. Indian River Fruit is quite popular in our area so we love the brand. I’ll be checking into this for us.

I started taking a probiotic a few months back and what a difference it has made on my system. It seems everything “works” better and more consistently. I have to say that my belly is flatter too!! I love Indian River juices and fruits so I will be sure to checkout this product.

My kids have been pretty against trying new probiotics because of the taste, but this juice looks like something they would love. Will definitely pick some up on my next shopping trip.

I’ve been adding yogurt into my diet lately to help with the digestive track. I’m not particularly fond of yogurt, but these might be a good alternative.

I’ve heard of probiotics but was not sure what it was – thanks for explaining. Have not heard of Indian River but the drinks sure look delish! I think I would have a hard to choose between the two flavors. It’s good to have something that is good for you that also tastes great. The pictures are beautiful.

How cool that this juice has probiotics in it! I actually take probiotics every day, but getting them from juice would be cool.

I use probiotics daily. I also buy them to give to the kids. It’s cool that this orange juice has them in it!

Now this I can do! It is difficult to make sure everything is balanced, but a drink I know I can handle.

I’ve noticed a number of people praising probiotics. I’ve not seen them in juice here in my area of New Jersey yet.
