10 Most Popular Toys for Christmas 2017 contains affiliate links.

Christmas will be here before you know it! Are you ready? Have you been wondering what the most popular toys for Christmas 2017 are? I’ve been researching and I’ve compiled a list of the most popular toys for the holiday season.

When it comes to buying gifts for the grandkids, I have to remind myself that I have a budget and to stick with the budget. True, I usually go over just a tad, but Christmas is my favorite holiday.

Have you Heard about the 4 Gift Rule?

A few years ago, I read something about the 4 gift rule. It’s where you buy each child 4 gifts.

Each child receives something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read.

I wish I had been the clever person to come up with this when my kids were little. I’m so guilty of over-indulgence because it’s in my DNA. I got it from my mama! That’s my story . . .

But, I’m trying to do better, so I’ve got a list of the most popular toys for 2017, according to Amazon. I’ve included my affiliate link and I’ll make a little bit of cash if you make a purchase.

I’m an Amazon Prime member and I do most of my Christmas shopping on Amazon. I don’t have to fight the crowds and the items arrive at my front door. I’ll also admit I’m on a first name basis with my FedEx and UPS guys. They even know my dog’s name.

Helpful Hint: Click on any orange link and it will take you straight to the toy!

Teddy Ruxpin is back? I need to look into getting one. What a blast from my past. Sounds like there are some fun toys this year.

  2. The grandchildren would enjoy all of these toys. I always talk to their mom about what she thinks is best for them. Nice to have a top ten to know what to buy quickly before I can’t find them on the shelf.

  3. My daughter would like a lot of these. That Teddy Ruxpin looks cool but I think she’s too old–I had one when I was little so that’s what I’m tempted 😉

  4. We follow the four gifts rule — and the book has always highlighted something significant in our child’s year. When they were little, it might be a train board book for the train lover, or a dog book… you get the idea. As they got older, it became a bit more challenging. We looked for books to inspire. My husband and I always write a note inside each book explaining why we chose it and our hopes/prayers for the upcoming year. It was not their favorite gift when they were little, but our oldest asked if it would continue once he got married (no). They all think it’s the best Christmas tradition we have.

  5. I legit know NOTHING about kid toys right now so THIS was sooooo helpful. I have young neices and nephews that I know will EXPECT toys, hahaha, soooooo yeah, going to have to search out some of these – I think those hatchling things are actually super cute LOL!

  8. Oh Teddy Ruxpin. So excited he’s back. This year we are definitely getting Hatchimals. They were the “it” toy last year and I saw them on the shelves just yesterday. So many awesome toys this season.

  9. I’ve not heard of any of these. Boy, am I in for some work this year! My kids, I’m sure, will be wanting one or more of these!

  10. I am so thankful that my daughter doesn’t want anything on this list. It’s always hard to find the popular toys. We’ve been on that end of the popular toys years ago, and it was so difficult to look online only to see them selling on Ebay for five times the regular prices.
