DIY Sunday Showcase 12.13

by Alli

Welcome to the DIY Sunday Showcase 12.13 and a Christmas giveaway!  We’re giving away $120.00 cash this week to show our appreciation to all of you.  To me, Christmas is all about giving and I can hardly wait to see who wins.

As most of you know, I’m in the middle of not one, but two bathroom renovations.  The guest bath is almost complete.  The mirror and lighting need to be installed and a few touch ups here and there and it will be good to go.  The master bath is completely gutted.

I was going to wrap a few presents Friday and the carpenters were at lunch so I thought I’d sneak into my closet and grab some gifts to wrap.  When I opened the door to the bathroom, there was no floor.  I could see underneath my house!  Yep, I would have had to step from floor joist to joist to get to my closet door, so I just said no.  They did get the new subfloor down before they left.  I will be so glad when we have more than one functioning bathroom again.

For now, let’s get the party started by looking back at our favorites from last week.

We’ve picked the new Star Wars movie to be our family Christmas movie this year, so when I saw these Star Wars Lightsaber Cookies from A Mom’s Take, I was awed.

What seriously cute DIY projects. I’ve got to check them all out to see what all I want to make. I love doing my own projects over store bought items.

Great DIY list but my favorite is the wine barrel Christmas tree because it is unique and a brilliant idea. It will also look good in my living room.
