DIY Sunday Showcase 3/22

by Alli

Welcome to the DIY Sunday Showcase 3/22 edition!  Thanks for stopping by!

My spring flowers are blooming and the Bradford pear trees lining my drive are arrayed in snowy white blossoms. They’re gorgeous!  They stink, but they’re beautiful.  Except for one.

I remember when we planted those trees over 15 years ago.  They were so tiny (and less expensive) and right after we planted them we had friends from out-of-state spending the weekend with us. The husband (of course, the wife had better sense) accidentally backed over one of the trees and snapped it off at the ground.  We had to replace that tree, so the replacement tree blooms about a week after the rest of them.  At least I’ll always remember that fun weekend.

Speaking of fun, we had so many wonderful posts last weekend.  Here’s our favorites:

Great ideas. The link to the liquid laundry detergent is bad…can you tell me where to find the recipe? Thank you.

I planted a couple of Maple trees in my front yard many years ago. I love the bright yellows of the maple in the fall. My brother-in-law backed over one of them. It has required a lot of attention and nourishment through the years but it did survive. It isn’t even half the size of the other one but at least it lived. Funny story!
I hope you have a wonderful week!

Mine didn’t live at all! 🙂 I also had a couple of dwarf crab apple trees, but the boys kept running over one with their battery powered 4 wheelers. I think it has about bit the dust, too. The other one that’s safely out of the path is so pretty and growing well.
