Who is the most difficult person to buy for on your Christmas list? For me, it’s my son-in-law! He’s not difficult as a person. He’s one of the sweetest guys I know (major mother-in-law brownie points just happened). I just have a hard time coming up with gift ideas for all the men in my life, but especially my tech-savvy son-in-law. Usually, I end up calling my daughter repeatedly and hounding her for gift ideas. Sorry, Caitlin!

For instance, last year (after talking to Caitlin) I purchased my son-in-law a new protective cover for his tablet. I’m talking heavy duty not-even-an-elephant-can-bend-it tablet cover. I was so proud of myself and when David unwrapped his gift on Christmas morning, I realized I had bought the wrong size. It didn’t fit his tablet! Yikes!

Holiday Gift Basket for Tech-Savvy Guys

Not this season! During a recent shopping trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond, I found the perfect gift idea for my son-in-law and it will be the main gift in a tech-themed gift basket. David is going to love his new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Electric Toothbrush!

Tech-Savvy Gift Ideas for the Men in Your Life

The Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush is perfect for my techie son-in-law! It’s Bluetooth enabled and connects to the Sonicare App! The Smart Sensor technology provides personalized feedback and coaching. The Sonicare toothbrush comes with four high-performance brush heads for complete oral care.  David will love this #1 Dental Professional recommended brand and I think I’ll win the mother-in-law of the year award!

Let’s Make a Gift Basket for Tech-Savvy Guys

When I’m creating a gift basket for men, I tend to go for wire baskets. This one is just right for my son-in-law.

Next, I add a little holiday inspired basket filler. This time around, I’m using basket filler that’s also a gift – a beautiful red scarf! Red is always a great choice for Christmas Gift Baskets.

This rechargeable Bluetooth black beanie has a control panel and removable stereo headphones. My son-in-law will love this one.

A compact travel organizer will transport his portable charger, cable, hard drive, SD cards, USB, and pens. It’s the perfect gift for a tech-savvy guy!

Of course, the main gift is the Sonicare toothbrush. I added toothpaste and the gift basket is almost ready.

I also included a laptop brush because my techie son-in-law is a stickler for keeping his laptop in pristine condition. Unlike me, I doubt he ever eats while using his laptop. Oops.

Then I tie it all up with this swoon-worthy red and black wired Buffalo plaid flannel ribbon! It’s perfect for the tech-savvy guy in your life!

To finish off the holiday gift basket, I add a gift tag I created especially for my son-in-law. I left the “to and from” part blank so you can use it also. I recommend printing the tag on cardstock. Download it by clicking here >>> Techie Christmas Tag Printable

Tech Savvy Gift Basket

This is the first time I’m actually excited about giving my techie son-in-law his Christmas gift! It’s no longer all geek to me.

So, what did he think?

David’s excited about his new gift and now my son wants one for Christmas, too! Guess I’ll be headed back to Bed, Bath & Beyond sooner rather than later.

All of these gifts have been great! I’ve use them, and they are very cool/useful. The Sonic Care toothbrush is super cool, and makes cleaning your teeth a breeze! Best Mother-in-law award goes to… And not because of these gifts.

A very blessed son-in-law

My son would probably love this more than my husband. Both are getting harder to buy for so sometimes it’s a gadget that becomes a gift.
