I’ve had a love for olives ever since I was a child. I’ve never found an olive I didn’t like and Mezzetta always satisfies my olive craving, especially when I make this easy Walnut Olive Cheese Log.

Sometimes, I make party sandwiches with this same mixture. It’s a winner no matter how you serve it.

I try to keep these ingredients on hand throughout the holidays because it’s so delicious and easy to make. If you’re an olive lover like me, you’ll love this simple recipe.

Ingredients For Walnut Olive Cheese Log

  • Softened cream cheese
  • Mezzetta Spanish Queen Olives, finely chopped
  • Mayonnaise (I use Duke’s mayo)
  • Chopped walnuts

Helpful Tips When Making Walnut Olive Cheese Log

For this recipe, you’ll need to use the pimento-stuffed Spanish olives. I love the Mezzetta brand but you can use whatever brand you prefer.

Make sure you bring the cream cheese to room temperature before making this cheese log. It takes about an hour for cream cheese to soften. Don’t leave it out longer than two hours because you don’t want it to spoil

Feel free to use pecans instead of walnuts. If you have been following my blog, you probably know that pecans are my favorite nuts. I’m mixing things up a bit and using walnuts for this recipe.

You can also add 1/4 cup fresh, chopped chives to this mixture.

This walnut, olive, and cream cheese mixture can be shaped into a log or a ball. A log is easier to shape and it looks pretty. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
