Cream Cheese Pound Cake

– Cream cheese – Butter – Sugar – Eggs – All-purpose flour – Vanilla extract – Salt

Step 1

Grease and flour a  10-inch tube pan. In a mixing bowl, cream together the cream  cheese and butter on medium-high speed until fluffy, scraping sides as needed. Slowly add  sugar; beat well.

Step 2

Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla extract. At low speed, add flour, 1/4 cup at a time. Add salt. Beat just until combined.

Step 3

Spread batter evenly into the prepared 10-inch tube pan. Drop pan on the counter a few times to remove air bubbles.

Step 4

Place in a cold oven and turn the heat to 300º F. Bake for 1-1/2 hours or until a long wooden pick inserted near the center of the cake comes out clean.
