To make the pecan pie layer, melt butter and add sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and eggs. Whisk together until smooth.

Beat the cream cheese. Add the dry ingredients, beating until well combined. Add eggs, mixing well. On the addition of the last egg, add vanilla extract and sour cream, mixing until combined.

Pour the cheesecake filling on top of the pecan pie layer in the springform pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes, until edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

In a saucepan, over medium heat, melt brown sugar and butter together. Whisk continually until well combined. Add the heavy cream and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Stir in pecans.
