Pineapple Pound Cake


– white granulated sugar – salted butter – buttermilk – eggs – all-purpose flour – Vanilla Extract – crushed pineapple

Glaze Ingredients

– Pineapple juice (from can of crushed pineapple) – powdered sugar – butter, melted

Step 1

Cream sugar and butter on medium speed just until pale yellow and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs, two at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 2

Add flour and buttermilk alternately. Add the vanilla extract. Stir in the pineapple. Spoon into prepared tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

Step 3

To make the glaze, whisk together the pineapple juice and melted butter. Whisk in the powdered sugar until smooth.
