Sour Cream Pound Cake


– softened butter – granulated sugar – all-purpose flour (sifted) – sour cream – baking soda – salt – eggs – pure vanilla extract


In a mixing bowl, add baking soda and salt to sour cream and set aside.

After Gathering All Ingredients

Step 1

Cream butter. Add sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add sour cream alternately with flour, Beat well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix on low until just combined.

Step 2

Bake at 325º for 1-1/2 hours, checking with a toothpick after baking for one hour 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
