Out-of-the-Box Ways to Host a Party for the Girls

by Alli

With such busy schedules and mounting responsibilities, you may not get to see your best friends as often as you would like. Sure, you can plan to go out on the weekends, but as entertaining as those nights out can be, you donโ€™t really get to have real, quality time together. Instead, why not suggest a house party for you and your friends to reconnect while having fun? Here are three party ideas that are simple enough to prepare and will suit any group of friends!

Host An Online Bingo Night

Online Bingo Night - How to Host a Party for the Girls

Chances are, at least some of your girlfriends are already into online bingo as it is swiftly becoming a popular online pastime. And if they havenโ€™t played yet, youโ€™ll get a chance to introduce them to a whole new way to have fun. Simply ask your friends to bring their mobiles, tablets or laptops with them, or let them borrow one from you, put out some snacks and each of you can log into your favorite bingo site to play at the same time.

There are plenty of sites to choose from, each with their own set of games and unique appeal. Some have games dedicated to the ladies, like 32red.com which hosts the aptly named Ladies Nite Bingo Slot. The sleek-looking 5-reel slot with its lipsticks, handbags and perfume symbols will be a hit with your party-going friends. Youโ€™ll get the whole nightclub vibe as you listen to fun music and look for the wild symbol in the glitzy disco ball. Plus, 32Red offers new players a ยฃ5 no deposit bonus just for registering so you can begin your bingo night without spending a penny!

For an even more girly online bingo experience, why not try womanbingo.com, where you and your girls can play Bingo Royale with Barbara Windsor, Take Me Out Bingo or Bejeweled Bingo. Alternatively, if you donโ€™t want to spend any money at all you can head to costa bingo where there are three free bingo rooms.

Host A Tea & Cake Party

How to Host a Party for the Girls

Although traditionally named Afternoon Tea, we think you can get away with hosting a tea and cake party late into the night.

The first thing youโ€™re going to need is plenty of table space as those little cups and cute cakes take up a surprisingly large amount of space. Your dining table or kitchen counters will probably be fine, or you can always have a tea party picnic on the floor.

If youโ€™re going to be graced with good weather, you could even host your party outside, turning it into a picnic with umbrellas and comfortable deck chairs.

Secondly, youโ€™re going to need teacups and serving plates. Typically, tea and cake parties include antique cups and dishes that can usually be found in charity shops these days, although weโ€™re sure mugs and napkins will probably be fine.

Next, pick an assortment of teas that your guests like or will be willing to try. The BBC suggests Earl Grey, peppermint and English Breakfast for a typical tea and cake party.

Last and by no means least, thereโ€™s the cake. Hereโ€™s where you can get as creative as you want, depending on how much you have a sweet tooth. The easiest way to gather the cakes necessary for your evening would be to go to your local bakery and pick up an assortment of sweets. However, if youโ€™re a keen baker an assortment of your very own homemade cakes are sure to be appreciated.

Host A Karaoke Party

If you and your friends are a bunch of fun-loving daredevils, then youโ€™ll definitely want to think about hosting a karaoke night. Though be warned: in order to create a musical cacophony of camaraderie and craziness in your living room, you are going to need some equipment.

Those of you who own any Playstation console from a PS2 onwards are in luck as there are plenty of Singstar games you can purchase or download. These games are extremely popular as they cover almost every genre and artist you can think of, so a quick Google search will tell you which editions are best for you and your group. Remember to buy the microphones while youโ€™re out shopping.

For those who donโ€™t own a console, never fear, as there are always computers, mobiles and tablets! Get your hands on at least two good-quality karaoke microphones and then head to your Internet browser. There are plenty of subscription-based karaoke services you can use like RedKaraoke, KaraFun or Karaoke Version. RedKaraoke is available on your phone or tablet, while the other two are for your computer. Hosting a karaoke party has never been simpler!

There you have it: Three great ways to host a party for the girls. The rest is up to you!ย

These are all great ideas. My daughter has a family of her own, but that does not mean she can’t party with her girlfriends. I’m sharing this with my cousin too. She has three daughters aged 23, 21 and 19.

You are so right – I never get to see my friends any longer. We are all so busy with all our kid’s schedules that we can never connect any longer. My best bud and I just met for the first time over the summer – in over a year – but we had to bring hubbies and kiddos – literally, we barely were able to focus! โ˜บ

Okay, so I have played bingo many times online, but I never thought of doing it with a group actually at your house, but I am really feeling that idea and I am going to have to try it out myself.

Such great ideas. The only one I couldn’t(well, wouldn’t)do is the karaoke. I can’t carry a tune in a bag, LOL. I could really get behind the bingo, though.
