Merry Christmas 2015

by Alli

Merry Christmas 2015!  It’s my favorite holiday and the most wonderful time of the year.  Here are a few things I love about Christmas:

  • Celebrating the birth of Jesus
  • Family Time – Keeping old traditions and making some new ones!
  • Christmas Music – Mostly traditional – don’t mess with Silent Night!
  • Visiting my Parents in my Hometown in GA (we just returned a few days ago)
  • Always Wishing for Snow on Christmas (rarely getting it)
  • Cornbread Dressing, Cranberry Sauce & Mocha Punch
  • Sounds of Christmas, Children’s Plays and Christmas Parties
  • Planning Christmas Tablescapes
  • Holiday Baking

After today, I’m taking a few days off from blogging to spend some quality holiday time with my family. I’ll have a house full of guests during the weekend of Christmas, so I’m making lists and checking them twice to make sure I have my pantry stocked and all my holiday baking complete.  I can’t forget the Mocha Punch & Cinnamon Rolls for Christmas breakfast.  It’s a family tradition.

Before all of this happens, I wanted to take a moment and let you know how much I appreciate each and every one of you.  You keep coming back for more and for that, I’m grateful.  I feel like I know many of you even though we’ve never met in person.

Merry Christmas 2015

I’m also celebrating my 3rd blogging anniversary this month.  If you’ve been around since then (thank you!!), you know that when I started my blog, I didn’t know one thing about blogging.  Actually, I didn’t know what a blog was.  I started blogging to share my favorite recipes and party tips because I couldn’t keep up with who had asked for what.  Back then I had no way of knowing that in three short years, An Alli Event would become much more than just a little hobby blog.  Thank you!

My wish is that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!  Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect to be merry!  I’ll “see” you all next week!

Merry Christmas 2015

PS – Unless there’s a Christmas miracle, my snow wish will not come true this year, either.  The weather report shows that Christmas Eve will be partly cloudy with a high of 78º and Christmas Day will be 75º. Excuse me while I go look for my most festive shorts and flip flops.
