I remember the day I left my oldest daughter at college for her freshman year. It was so hard to be brave and not give in to the tears that were threatening to spill over. I was determined not to cry as we hugged goodbye. But, I cried halfway home.
Then it dawned on me that in a few short years I’d be redecorating her bedroom and turning it into a craft room. I perked right up.
One of the best ways I’ve found to show a college student you’re thinking of them is a care package. When I was in Walmart the other day, I saw an entire Keurig display geared specifically toward college kids, so I thought I’d create a coffee bar care package and show you how fun and easy it is to make your college kid feel special.
Before I show you everything I included in the coffee bar care package, I have to ask you one question: Have you seen the gorgeous colors of the Keurig K200 Brewing System? My favorite is Beach Bum.
I do believe that The Keurig® K200 Brewing System was designed with college students in mind. They can easily make all their favorite hot or cold beverages with the push of a button. Whether they need a pick-me-up or something to help them decompress from studying, the Keurig® K200 Brewing System is a college must-have. It’s perfect for a student on a budget because it’s less expensive than going to a coffee shop every day. And it’s being offered at Walmart for a special everyday low price.
When you visit Walmart, you’ll not only get tips to build a dorm room coffee bar, but you can also sign up for a FREE K-Cup® pod sample pack. In the sample pack, you will receive four $1 off coupons so you can help them stock up on a variety of beverages.
Coffee Bar Care Package
For my care package, I chose Lipton® Refresh Iced Sweet Tea because we southerners can’t live without iced tea. The Original Donut-Shop DECAF coffee is for those times when a college student actually needs to sleep. A pretty mug is essential for a dorm room and a couple of microfiber cloths will help keep the coffee bar area neat and tidy.
I also grabbed a bottle of Keurig descaling solution to extend the life of that beautiful Keurig brewing system. Most college kids have never cleaned a brewing machine before.
Homemade chocolate-dipped spoons will add a hint of chocolate to that cup of coffee. It also adds a personal touch. The pretty box will keep everything organized.
