It’s that time of the year again. The football playoffs are right around the corner and I’m a little miffed that my team won’t make it this year. That’s OK, there’s always next year. I’m a true fan, so I’ll host a playoff party for all my friends and family. Maybe I’ll pull for one of their teams. Not!

I enjoy watching the game and you’ll never find me in the kitchen missing all the action. That’s why I rely on Tyson® Bone-In Wings (5 lbs) NEW Tequila Lime flavors and State Fair® Mini Corn Dogs (65 cnt) to stock my Playoff Party Concession Stand. I add homemade dipping sauces and I’m ready to party.

Homemade Guacamole - Football Playoff Party

Sam’s Club is my go-to place for all my playoff party needs. I have a huge family and when we all get together for the big game, I don’t want to run out of food.

Homemade Guacamole - Mini Corn Dogs

I wouldn’t dare throw a football playoff party without Tyson® Bone-In Wings. Who can resist the NEW Tequila Lime flavor? These wings pair perfectly with my homemade guacamole.

Homemade Guacamole

Another must-have for my playoff party are State Fair® Mini Corn Dogs served with my mom’s homemade BBQ sauce. I spiced it up a little bit and it’s easy to put together ahead of time and store in the fridge.

Mini Corn Dogs - Homemade Guacamole

When I host a football viewing party, I try to avoid any food items that require a spoon or fork. There’s too much action going on to have to keep up with tableware.

Let’s Make Homemade Guacamole

Fresh guacamole is so easy to make. I like to prepare it an hour before the game and serve it with Tyson® Bone-In Wings NEW Tequila Lime flavors.

Homemade Guacamole

Halve the avocados, remove the pit and scoop out the avocado with a large spoon.

Homemade Guacamole

In a medium sized bowl, add the avocado halves. Squeeze 1/2 lime over avocados and add salt and cumin.

Homemade Guacamole

Mash with a fork or potato masher. Stir in tomato, garlic, onion and cilantro.

Homemade Guacamole

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. Homemade Guacamole is best served within two hours of making it. Be sure and place the plastic wrap directly on the guacamole. It will delay the browning process.

Mini corn dogs dipped in homemade BBQ sauce is a huge favorite at my football viewing parties. To make the BBQ sauce, combine 1 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup mustard, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar. Add a generous amount of black pepper. Mix all the ingredients together and store in the fridge.

Football Playoff Parties don’t have to be complicated or a lot of hard work. Good food, good friends and (hopefully) a good game – that’s all you need for a successful party.
