How I Decluttered Stacks of Magazines

by Alli

It’s true confession time! ย I’m usually a keep-it-neat-and-tidy type person in most areas of my life. ย But I have a confession to make: ย I’m a hoarder of magazines. ย There. ย I admit it. ย I feel much better. Keep reading. I’m going to show you how I declutteredย stacks of magazines!

If you take a look around my office, my nightstand or my bookshelves in the great room, you’ll find piles of magazines. I’m a magazine hoarder.ย  I love Southern Living, HGTV, Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, and Coastal Living (for when my ship comes in and I buy a beach house).

I always have every intention of getting rid of those magazines. But, there’s always one or two articles, recipes, photos or house plans (for my dream beach house) that I absolutely must hold onto forever. Sigh. I just can’t seem to part with them.

And then it happened. ย I found the app of my dreams. And that’s how I decluttered stacks of magazines. ย Are you ready?

What a great service! I have too many physical magazines to keep track of and plus, they just create too much clutter. I’d love to have my magazines in digital form. I’ll check out Texture!

Oh my gosh, this is such a great idea!!!! I love reading a paper book, but I don’t think I would mind as much with magazines!

I’m a magazine addict. I’m terrible for having them all over my house. But it would be so much nicer to have access to them on my devices, and NOT have them laying all over the place!

I used to save all my magazines – for years and years and just a few months ago – I went through them all and took out only my favorites and tossed the rest! I’m with you – get them online!

Oh this is so awesome! I have a serious pile of magazines or ripped out pages from magazines that need organizing. Will definitely have to check this out.

My coffee table is currently overflowing with magazines from home decor to fitness. This is just what I need to get rid of the stacks and regain my coffee table!

This app is awesome! I have sooo many magazines that I sometimes don’t even read! It’s so bad and a waste of space and dust collector! Great tips!!

I used to save mine and donate them to the school. They don’t use them at the kids new school though, so I’ve just been recycling them.

I’ve been using the free app all weekend and I’m loving it. I’m browsing so many magazines. When I see a paint color, etc. I like, I can just save it to my phone for future reference.

This is a great idea! I personally still love my physical paper magazines, but digital is definitely the way to go to declutter.

Magazines are my downfall too – I have several subscriptions and then I tend to buy them on the checkout line at the grocery store too! My husband got so mad when we moved – he said he wasn’t moving my 500 magazines and that I’d have to get rid of them. I did, but I’m probably back up to 100 now!
