I’m humming Take Me Out to The Ballgame because Dixie Youth Baseball is in full swing. Â The hubs and I have been rushing out the door every evening to watch as many as 4 games in one night! Â Sometimes the games are played at the same time and we walk from field-to-field at the sports complex, trying to get a glimpse of each grandson bat, pitch or field. Â Don’t tell anyone, but I get nervous when the oldest grandson pitches. Â
Brag Time
Caden, the next-to-the-youngest, plays 1st base on his tee-ball (that’s one step up from wee-ball, which Tegan plays) team.  Last week he tagged 3 players (in a row) out on first.  Yes, he’s got star potential! 🙂
Lately, I’ve been trying to come up with quick, convenient, inexpensive meals to prepare before we hit the ground running to the game. Eating out after every game is expensive, plus I don’t like eating that late.
A few days ago I was looking in the freezer section at Walmart and I noticed that JACK’S® Original Pepperoni Pizza has a “Great for Grilling” sticker on the package.  I had never grilled pizza before and thought that it would be something quick, easy and inexpensive, plus it wouldn’t heat up my kitchen.  (We have 90º temps this week!)
Outshine Bars
When I was looking for a no-bake dessert, my eyes immediately went to the Outshine® bars.  Have you tried them?  They’re made from real fruit and vegetables and the flavor combinations are mouthwatering! Seriously!  These bars will have a permanent place in my freezer!

Another great thing about grilling is that cleanup is a breeze! Â Not having to deal with a mess in the kitchen saves time and gets us out the door and to the games with time to spare. Â Grilled pizza, baseball & summertime fun – you just can’t beat it!

Pizza on the grill is the best isn’t it? I didn’t try it until a few years ago, but now I am totally hooked!
I have made homemade pizza on the grill, but have never tried frozen. I’m going to have to pick a couple of Jacks up for this summer – I do not like to use my oven much during the summer months!
I will definitely pick one up, now that I know someone has tried it! I’ve seen the brand before but usually stick to my normal pizza. Having quick meals on busy nights sure does help!
I haven’t seen the outshine bars yet but I will look for them. We always adored the dole pineapple bars. and I see they have a pineapple version. Cute grandkids! No grandkids here (yet!) but I did a lot of time taking my daughter to sports events when she was young. And I imagine I will again, with grandchildren in tow! 🙂 ~s
I’ve never thought of grilling pizza before. It’s a great idea! We have a charcoal grill, and I’m willing to bet that it would give our pizza a nice extra element of nom nom.
I’ve never tried grilling a whole pizza, but I love that I don’t have to heat up the kitchen. Will have to give this a try. The Outshine bars look great too and I’m sure my kids will love it (they love any frozen dessert).
We are going RV’ing Memorial Day weekend and I’d love to try this. I’ve never grilled a pizza Now… I wonder if the pizza will fit in my tiny RV freezer!?
I can’t say that I have ever considered grilling a pizza, but if it tastes as good as it looks, I am all for it! Especially since the hubs would be doing the grilling. I just get to reap the benefits!
My Hubs loves grilled pizza. He would swear to you that it is better that way!!
These are two of my summertime favs! I love Jacks pizza and those Outshine bars are so good especially when it’s hot out!

I love pizza, it’s one of my biggest obsessions! It’s so hard to say no and the thin crust is my favorite, would love some of these!
Grilled pizza and yogurt bars would be an excellent way to finish the day. My kids were always pumped to have a Jack’s pizza for dinner.

I know it sounds silly, but I have such great memories of Jack’s pizza throughout my childhood. It was a staple for sleepovers and family fun nights, especially with my Dad who I lost to cancer years ago. Thanks for the wonderful reminder of the great memories!

I have never heard of grilling pizza before this post. What a novel concept! Like you said, I’m sure cleanup is a breeze. Plus you don’t heat up the house by using the oven, which is a lifesaver in the Summer.

How cool! I haven’t ever grilled a pizza. As funny as it sounds I had no idea that was possible until recently! Looks amazing though as do those yogurt bars!
This was a first for me, too and it left me wondering why I had never tried it. It’s so much better on the grill.

Mhmmm pizza…
This is the extent of my husband’s “cooking” so, on the very rare occasion that I”m not making dinner, I can count on pizza lol.
I actually like to make pita pizzas; greek pitas, sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced basil, feta cheese and some olive oil drizzled over top- in the oven for 8 mins on broil and voila!
The yogurt bars make an excellent addition to any warm evening.
We love pizza, but we haven’t tried grilling pizza yet. Thanks for the idea. We’ll definitely give it a try once our grill is ready. 😉

I’ve never had grilled pizza before but I could see where it would be really good. I’m going to try grilled pizza this summer to switch up our grilled food menu.
We’ve been talking about trying to grill a pizza for a couple of weeks now and just haven’t. No cleanup sounds pretty fantastic to me. We’ve got two in sports now so it’s pretty much go go go all the time.
Their yogurt bars are so much fun. We love the flavor varieties. I can’t recall seeing that brand of pizza before. I need to check it out.
It sounds like you have a good little first baseman there! We like to keep some frozen pizza on hand for those busy days! I’m not sure we have Jack’s, I’ll have to look for it.
