Are you enjoying the autumn season? Today’s high is 85ยบ in my neck of the woods. So, no, I’m not really feeling fall yet here in South Carolina. But I have been decorating my home for fall and this is a special invitation to my fall home tour on Monday, October 3rd.
Fall is the one season where I can keep my seasonal decor up for three months. I mean, think about it, Christmas decor is usually up for one month (unless you’re that person who lives three doors down and leaves their Christmas lights on the front porch all year long).
Halloween, Easter and everything else is usually celebrated for about a month. Fall is the exception to the rule because pumpkins are just as trendy in September as they are in November. So, there.
Funny Text From My Daughter
While I was browsing the aisles of At Home, I received a text from daughter #2.
It read, “Where are you?” I hurriedly replied (without my reading glasses), “At home.” I immediately received another text from her saying, “No you’re not! I just called your home phone.” Duh – I meant to tell her I was shopping at the home decor superstore aka At Home.
Have you ever been to At Home? It’s like a giant warehouse filled with everything you could possibly want and/or need for your home.
My fall home tour will feature my great room and dining room. Actually, the great room, dining room, and kitchen are all one big open space. I don’t have a formal living room and I like that just fine because we’re not formal people.
My inspiration piece for my fall home tour is this glass pumpkin I found At Home (the superstore, not my house). ๐
Inspirational Piece for my Fall Home Tour
It has all my favorite decor colors so I had to have it. Navy, Orange and Mustard – three of my very favorite colors and the colors of my great room – are my inspiration colors for my fall home tour. If you look closely, you can see the reflection of my tripod.
The beautiful tray is also from At Home. I’m in love!
I don’t get really complicated when it comes to decor and I try not to go overboard. I even reused some old dollar store pumpkins by spray painting them white. Once they dried, I dipped the bottoms of the pumpkins in navy and I LOVE the end results.
Special Invitation To My Fall Tour
I do hope you stop by An Alli Event on Monday. Oct. 3rd to see what I’ve done with the place. I’ve got food! ๐
