Pinterest is my go-to when I’m looking for cute projects to try. I saw several of these snowmen on Pinterest and they are all adorable. However, I always put my own spin on things.

Frosty The Snowman

Here’s what you will need to make one snowman:

  • 2 round glass fishbowls (I’m using one 8″ bowl for the head and one 10″ bowl for the body from Hobby Lobby). You can also use three but it will be really tall. I call them fishbowls, but I think the proper name is bubble ball vase. I found mine at Hobby Lobby in the floral department.
  • Epsom Salt (snow)
  • Mini bottle brush trees
  • Other mini ornaments
  • scarf (wide ribbon)
  • top hat (Oriental Trading)

Clean the fishbowls (bubble ball vases) with window cleaner so they will be crystal clear. Add Epsom Salt to each bowl.

Easy Adorable Frosty the Snowman

Add a festive Christmas scene (snowmen, bottle brush trees, villages, etc.).

Festive Scene for Adorable Frosty the Snowman

Stack the smaller fishbowl on top. Add a ribbon (or felt) scarf and top the snowman with a top hat.

Adorable Frosty the Snowman is complete in just minutes

Wasn’t that the easiest craft ever? I think so!

I made several of these snowmen and used them for this party.

Clever idea and I like that you could really add whatever you like inside and use what you already may have on hand.

Wooow!
Really so much adorable!
Great idea from you Alli. Thank you so much for share this amazing idea with us. You used 8″ bowl for the head and one 10″ bowl for the body from Hobby Lobby. I i change the bowl size then any problem will occur?

I have also made them using the same size bowl for the body and head. You just have to make sure the top bowl fits in the bottom bowl. (Some of the smaller bowls are too small and will fall through the opening in the top of the “body” bowl)

I hope that makes sense. 🙂

Do the fishbowls fit tightly together without using glue?

Reply
Alli December 19, 2017 - 6:52 am

The bottom of the top bowl fits perfectly into the top of the bottom bowl – no glue needed.
