Sheet Pan Cheesy Egg In Hole Texas Toast

by Alli

Thanks to CABOT Cheese for sponsoring this post, Cheesy Egg In Hole Texas Toast. All opinions are my own.

Cheesy Egg In Hole Texas Toast is an easy breakfast and is perfect for the holidays. A sharp cheese and mayonnaise combination is spread on each slice of bread. An egg is cooked in the middle until set. So good!

I love breakfast foods. My Overnight French Toast With Praline Topping is another recipe that I always serve when I’m entertaining guests for breakfast or brunch. I have to be prepared to give out the recipe every single time.

Overnight French Toast is so easy to make

Our breakfast drink of choice is always Mocha Punch. It makes an appearance on the menu at my house all through the holiday season, especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas mornings.

Mocha Punch is a family tradition for holidays and special occasiona

Sheet Pan Cheesy Egg In Hole

This is the easiest breakfast dish you’ll ever make. You only need four ingredients (not counting the salt and pepper.

You’ll need:

  • Mayonnaise (I always use Duke’s)
  • Texas Toast (not frozen)
  • Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (CABOT)
  • Eggs
  • Pepper
  • Salt

Heat the oven to 400ºF. Butter a sheet pan. Place the bread slices on the sheet pan in a single layer. Make sure to buy the fresh Texas toast from the bread aisle.

Combine the mayonnaise and CABOT sharp cheddar cheese.

Cabot-Extra-Sharp-Cheese

Spread thinly on the top side of 6 slices of Texas toast. With a biscuit or cookie cutter, cut a 2″ inch center from each toast. Save the centers. We’re cooking those too.

Egg-in-Hole-Cut-Centers

Crack an egg into the hole of the Texas toast. Season with salt and pepper.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the toast is golden and the eggs are set.

We like our eggs runny so 8-9 minutes works perfectly for us. If you like your yolks set, 10-12 minutes is perfect.
