McCafe Gift Basket Ideas

I’m such a morning person. I’m always up before the sun enjoying the solitude before the hustle and bustle of the day.

And the first thing I grab is a cup of coffee. Mornings are so much easier when I pop my McCafé pod in the coffee maker.

Alone Time

When my kids were growing up, I would relish that little bit of alone time – just me and my coffee. I think everyone needs a little time before getting the kids up.

Mornings are always smoother when I plan ahead.

Lunches were always packed and stored in the fridge the night before. School clothes were selected and book bags were repacked and hung by the door so they could be grabbed as the kids rushed out to jump in the car.

Now that my kids are all grown (where did the time go?) I still plan ahead.

My grown-up son is receiving his first single-serve coffee maker for Christmas, so I had to make him a coffee lover’s gift basket so he could enjoy his new coffee maker ASAP.

Speaking of coffee, did you know that McCafé premium bags and pods are available at Walmart and your local grocery store? They are made from 100% Arabica beans (that’s the premium stuff), harvested from the rich soils of mountainous areas of the world, and are available in 8 flavors.

I recently visited Walmart to scoop up a few boxes of McCafé coffee pods to star in my son’s gift box and to sample a cup of freshly brewed McCafé coffee.

There’s nothing quite like a mid-morning coffee break!

You can find McCafé in the coffee aisle of your local grocery store.

To make this McCafe Gift Basket, I added a few chocolate treats, some biscotti, a coffee mug, and a couple of festive dish towels. The gift basket is complete. My son is going to be in coffee heaven.

I love coffee too and have to have a cup to be fully functioning in the morning 🙂 This is such a sweet gift basket; your son will love it!

I made sure my basket looked more manly for my son. 🙂

I’m totally a morning person! I, too, start my day way before anyone else gets up…with coffee of course. I love the quiet time in the morning when I can sit undistributed and think, plan and pray over my day. Great post! Have a Merry Christmas!

Alli December 22, 2014 - 9:37 am

Yes, I use that time to reflect, pray and plan, too. Merry Christmas, Danita!

I had no idea these were being sold in retail stores. Wow! I don’t think I will ever be a 100% morning person, but now that I’ve been working in an office environment the past four years, I’m definitely way more of a morning person than I used to be. I think caffeine has a lot to do with it. 🙂

What a great gift basket idea! I’m sure your son will love it! I’m definitely a reluctant morning person these days because of my three little ones, so a nice cup of McCafé sounds like a great start to the day! Thanks for sharing! #client

I am not a morning person at all. It usually takes me about two hours to fully wake up and seize the day.

Alli December 22, 2014 - 12:30 pm

My husband is not a morning person either. We’re complete opposites, but it works.

I am kind of a morning person, if I get my sleep before the morning (so not really). And I do not drink coffee at all. None. But I am still normal ;).

Alli December 22, 2014 - 12:41 pm

I’m so not a night owl. I begin to get sleepy around 9 PM. During the winter months I drink coffee more because it warms me up.

Oh goodness, I didn’t know McDonald’s was making coffee for the Keurig! Awesome! And no, I am not a morning person in the least!

Alli December 23, 2014 - 7:10 am

Yes, you can now enjoy McCafe at home! My husband is a night owl and I’m such a morning person. 🙂

Lately, if my kids are in bed then I’ve become more of a morning person because I love to have coffee with the quiet.

Alli December 23, 2014 - 7:09 am

I really need the peace and quiet that early mornings bring.

I used to be a morning person and I did relish those moments when I would get up and make coffee and have some lone time before the kids get up. And then like you, I used to plan out their clothes and stuff for the following day (at night) but my kids do not go to school. It just helped me feel better that I had things planned out. However, with pregnancy and all, I am now waking up with the kids, just way to tired these days.

I love the gift basket you gave to your son. And I did not know Walmart had those good coffee!

Alli December 23, 2014 - 7:12 am

When my kids were babies I would always have their diaper bags packed the night before, especially on Sundays when we are all trying to get out the door for church. I’ve always told people that we got lost in a snowstorm (not likely here in the deep south) we could live out of the diaper bag for several days. 🙂

What a great idea! I think I might steal this idea for my husband’s boss!

Alli December 23, 2014 - 7:08 am

It’s a pretty cool guy gift. I had to be careful not to frou frou it up. 🙂

Paula@SweetPea December 23, 2014 - 5:51 am

I didn’t know that this product was in existence and will look for it when I’m out and about today. I love the convenience of the Keurig!

Alli December 23, 2014 - 7:07 am

It’s new, so there should be a display in the coffee aisle. Merry Christmas, Paula!

Yes, I am a morning person, not at all popular amongst the folks in my famiily. That is why I do enjoy my alone time in the morning. I would love a hot cup of coffee the instant I get out of the bed so we do own a single serve brewer. I love all the flavor options!
I know your son enjoyed his gift basket. That was a nice and thoughtful gift.

Alli December 29, 2014 - 11:02 am

Yes, must have that first cup of coffee the instant I jump out of bed (after the bathroom break). He did enjoy his basket to go along with his new single serve coffee maker.
