Walking desserts are so much fun! You’ll want to make Walking Strawberry Shortcake Bags when you need a quick and easy summertime snack or dessert.
Delicious strawberry-flavored muffin bites are paired with strawberry pie filling, and mounds of whipped cream and topped with fresh strawberry slices.
I don’t think we can even call this a recipe because it’s so easy to throw together. However, the kids and adults will love this yummy snack.
Planning a camping trip? Add these unique treats to your dessert or snack menu. You could also set it up as a snack area and let everyone join in to make these fun snacks.
Ingredients You’ll Need To Make This Easy Dessert
- Little Bites Strawberry Yogurt Muffins (1.65 ounces each)
- Canned Strawberry Pie Filling (21 ounces)
- ReddiWip OR an 8-ounce tub of whipped topping like Cool Whip
- Fresh Strawberries
Items Needed:
- Scissors
- Plastic Spoons
How to Make The Strawberry Shortcake Bags
Cut the side of each bag open using scissors.
I tend to leave at least 2 inches of room above the muffins.
Place about 1 ounce of the strawberry pie filling on top of the muffins in each bag.
Top with ReddiWip and garnish with 2 fresh strawberry slices.
Provide plastic spoons for serving!
Helpful Tips
- Please do not make these in advance or they will get soggy and gross. Itโs best to assemble and serve immediately.
- I prefer Reddiwip much better than the tubs of whipped cream. It tastes better and it’s easier to add to the bags of mini muffins.
- If you canโt find the strawberry mini muffins at your local grocery store, you can use basic vanilla or something similar.
These Walking Strawberry Shortcake Bags are best eaten when you put them together. Make just enough for everyone to have a bag. I don’t recommend storing leftovers.
