Items Needed:

  • 8×8 Pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Medium Microwave-Safe Mixing Bowl
  • Rubber Spatula

Preparation Steps

Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Heat treat the cookie mix by placing it in a wide microwave-safe bowl and microwaving for 1 minute on high. Whisk to loosen up the mix. Raw flour can contain bacteria, so it’s important to heat the cookie mix before using it.

If you’re using the gingerbread spice mix, add it to the cookie mix and whisk until fully combined.

Helpful Tips For The Perfect Gingerbread Fudge

Heating the mix is just a safety precaution.

Do not just try spraying your pan with nonstick spray and skipping the parchment paper. This does not work and you’ll have a hard time getting your fudge out. Parchment paper is the only way to go. Do NOT use wax paper.

If you want a stronger gingerbread flavor, go ahead and use the optional gingerbread spice mix. If you don’t have a gingerbread spice mix, you can add half a teaspoon of cinnamon and a half teaspoon of ground ginger.

Once the fudge has started to set, don’t move it or it will wrinkle and will not be pretty.

If you can’t find a gingerbread cookie mix, a gingerbread cake mix will work as well.

For best results, use high-quality brand-name ingredients. They are easier to work with and provide a much better taste outcome.

Storage and Shelf Life

Congratulations, you’ve made a batch of delicious gingerbread fudge! But what’s the best way to store it to ensure it stays fresh and tasty for as long as possible?

To start, it’s important to note that gingerbread fudge should be stored in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out and becoming stale. You can use a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid or wrap the fudge in aluminum foil or a piece of parchment paper before placing it in the container.

When storing the fudge, make sure to keep it at room temperature or in the fridge. When storing it at room temperature, make sure to keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources. If you’re storing it in the fridge, let it come to room temperature before serving to ensure it’s soft and creamy.

If stored properly, your no-bake gingerbread fudge should last for up to two weeks. However, it’s best to consume it within the first week to ensure maximum freshness and flavor.

Serving Suggestions

Now that you have made easy gingerbread fudge, it’s time to serve it up in style. Here are a few suggestions to make your fudge look as good as it tastes:

  • Add the festive sprinkles: Top your gingerbread fudge with some colorful sprinkles to add a pop of color and a little extra sweetness. The link for the gingerbread sprinkles is included in the recipe card below. You could use red and green sprinkles instead. They are perfect for the holiday season. Gold or silver sprinkles add a more elegant look.
  • Gingerbread men: For a fun and festive touch, place small gingerbread men on top of your fudge. You can either make your own using a gingerbread cookie cutter or buy pre-made ones from the store.
  • Top of the gingerbread fudge: Add a little extra flavor and texture by topping your fudge with some crushed gingerbread cookies. This will give your fudge a little crunch and even more gingerbread flavor.

No matter how you choose to serve your gingerbread fudge, it’s sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So go ahead and get creative – the possibilities are endless!
