How To Make Simple Syrup for Snowdrop Mocktails

Simple-Syrup-In-Jar

Simple syrup is really easy to make. If you can boil water, you can do it. It’s just sugar dissolved in water.

Simple syrup is often a key ingredient in mocktails and other drinks because it blends well with other liquids.

To make a simple syrup, you only need two ingredients – granulated sugar and water. Traditional simple syrup requires a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water.

The good news is that simple syrup will keep in the fridge for up to a month. For this recipe, I use 1/2 cup water (measured with a liquid measuring cup) and 1/2 cup sugar (measured with a dry measuring cup).

Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan. Heat over medium and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Once the sugar is dissolved, let the syrup cool. Strain into a jar and seal with a lid.

How To Make Snowdrop Mocktails

Snowdrop Mocktails are really easy to put together. While the simple syrup is cooling, I scoop two cups of vanilla ice cream into a pitcher to soften.

This pitcher belonged to my mom and I smile every single time I use it.
