Add an M&M to each candy melt, then gently push it in until the candy slightly sinks into the chocolate. Once you’ve placed all the M&M’s, allow the pretzel bites to rest for 30 minutes or until set.

Helpful Tips When Making Pretzel Bites

  • Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry area for up to 1 week. Do not store in the fridge or freezer, as moisture can ruin them.
  • I used dark blue candy melts, but you can use whatever shade you have on hand.
  • Candy melts, depending on the brand, can vary in size, but all of them should fit a pretzel snap without issue.
  • If it’s not easy to lightly push the M&M into the candy melt, or the candy melt cracks, the pretzels either need to be cooked longer or the candy melts are older.

  3. Put one candy melt on each pretzel.
  4. Bake for 5 minutes or until the candy melts are soft. They will not change shape even if they’re soft, so don’t base it on just how they look.
  5. Place an M&M on top of each candy melt, and gently push it in until the candy slightly sinks into the chocolate. Be sure to alternate colors and avoid using the same color M&M with the same color candy melt.
