Easy Halloween Bat Treats

Ding Dong Bat Treats are adorable and so easy to make. The kids will love to make these treats because they are so easy to put together. It only takes about 15 minutes from start to finish! 

I don’t care for over-the-top spooky Halloween decor but I do like to make cute not-so-scary treats for the grandkids to snack on before we all meet at our church for Trunk or Treat

Simple Ingredients You’ll Need To Make 10 Ding Dong Bat Treats

The complete recipe card is at the end of this post. If you need more than 10 treats, this recipe is easy to double, triple, etc. 

  • 1 box of ding dongs (10 count – 12.7 oz.)
  • Oreo Cookies 
  • White Cookie Icing
  • Edible Googly Eye Sprinkles (candy eyeballs)

Directions For Making Ding Dong Bats (full recipe card down below!)

Unwrap all the ding dongs from the box and set them aside. 

Cut the Oreos in half, open them up, and scrape off the white frosting.

Place one cut Oreo on each side of the ding dong to form bat wings.

Add two tiny dots of the white cookie icing on the ding dongs and place the two googly eye sprinkles on top of the icing.

Pipe two triangle bat fangs with cookie icing below the eyes on each ding dong.

How To Store Ding Dong Bats

Store the bats at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Ding Dong Bat Treats

Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 package (10 count) Ding Dongs
  • Oreo Cookies
  • White Cookie Icing
  • Edible Googly Eye Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Unwrap all the Ding Dongs from the box and set them aside.
  2. Cut Oreos in half, carefully open them up and scrape off the frosting
  3. Insert one cut oreo into each side of the ding dong for the bat wings.
  4. To make the eyes, place two tiny dots of icing on the ding dongs and cover the icing with two googly eye sprinkles.
  5. Pipe two triangle bat fangs with cookie icing below the eyes on each Ding Dong.
  6. Store bats in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
